There currently is a number of cellular carriers offering their own branded versions of Mobile TV, including Verizon’s "V Cast Mobile TV", Sprint Nextel "Sprint TV" and ATT / Cingular Wireless’ "CV" short for "Cingular Video". The prices for Mobile TV range from $13 to $25 and varies by Mobile TV Package.
- Verizon V Cast offers a Limited Package for $13.00, a Basic Package for $15.00 and a Select Package for $25.00 a month.
- Cingular Video (CV) is planning on offering CV free of charge to customers of the $19.99 per month unlimited 3G data package, with an additional fee of $5.00 per month for access to premium HBO television programs. Cingular additionally offers a live service, MobiTV for $9.99 a month, plus a monthly data package prerequisite of $5.00 per month for 1MB of data usage to an unlimited data usage package price of $19.99. at&t will soon offer MediaFLO USA’s FLO TV (www.mediaflousa.com) to US customers in 2008.
- Sprint Nextel charges $9.99 per month for their on-demand video package, please note that users must already be subscribed Sprint Nextel’s data package which ranges in price from $10 – $20.
In addition to the cellular giants already offering Mobile TV, or planning to offer Mobile TV, smaller cellular carriers such as Midwest Wireless, Western Wireless offer Mobile TV in the US. Outside of the US, the technology is very popular (currently only 500,000 people are subscribed to the service in the United States), the Japanese are viewing Mobile TV programs from cellular carrier NTT DoCoMo, SK Telecom is offering the service in South Korea, O2 and Orange offer the service in the United Kingdom (UK), while Telus, Rogers Wireless and Bell Mobility offer the service in Canada.

Sling Media recently released a SlingPlayer Mobile application which allows users to watch streaming video from their TV on their Symbian S60 cell phones. The application is similar to the Sling Box, in that it allows you to "Tivo" or "DVR" cable programs and then broadcast them to your computer screen via the Internet. But better yet, with this application, you will be able to broadcast directly to your mobile phone. This technology is very new, as more information is released, we will be sure to mention it.
